Oklahoma Heart Hospital (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)

Ranked in the top 1% nationally for patient satisfaction, Oklahoma Heart Hospital was founded and built on quality heart care for Oklahoma.  The hospital features two Oklahoma City area locations as well as a network of more than 70 cardiovascular specialists at more than 60 clinics and hospitals across the state.

Oklahoma Heart Hospital was experiencing issues with untimely and inaccurate data produced by its legacy HIS system. These issues were creating significant customer service issues with claim submission, patient statements and charges information; and the revenue cycle team was spending significant time manually correcting and validating data.  Because these issues resulted in significant amount of staff time spent manually correcting and re-validating data, the Oklahoma Heart Hospital revenue cycle management team decided to replace the legacy system with Stockell Healthcare’s InsightCS® end-to-end patient access and patient accounting system.

The hospital selected Stockell Healthcare's InsightCS® end-to-end patient access and patient accounting solution.  The system go-live was completed with interfaces to their Cerner Millenium system and with minimal interruption to revenue cycle processes.  Since its implementation, InsightCS® has continued to provide Oklahoma Heart Hospital with reliable patient information and process stability it needs.

Today, thanks to the InsightCS® system's automation and workflow processes, the hospital’s revenue cycle team is able to devote a great majority of their time to the facility’s initiative to always “place the patient first.”  Other benefits the organization has realized include more timely insurance follow-up thanks to the system’s Collector Work Schedule function and accurate financial forecasting based on reliable data.
